Sn 2, Ep 23 - Manifesting The Big 3 - Love
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In the final episode of our three-part series on manifesting the “Big Three”—health, wealth, and love—we’re diving into the one that may be the most emotionally complicated of all: love.
Whether you’re looking for a partner, hoping to strengthen the relationship you already have, healing from heartbreak, or simply wanting healthier, more fulfilling connections, this episode is all about becoming a match for the kind of love you want to experience.
Kim and Gina talk about getting clear on what you truly want in a relationship, making space for love, releasing the need to control the who, when, and how, and learning to receive instead of chase. They also explore why your relationship with yourself influences the love you attract and accept—and how old wounds, expectations, boundaries, self-worth, and even your inner dialogue can shape your relationships.
Kim shares lessons inspired by The Mastery of Love by Don Miguel Ruiz, along with personal stories from her relationship with Kyle and how past experiences can cause us to recreate patterns even when we’re with someone safe and healthy. Gina shares her own manifestation practices, including the list she spent years creating around the qualities she wanted in a partner and what ultimately shifted before meeting Nicholas.
You’ll also walk away with practical ways to begin manifesting more love now—whether you’re single or already in a relationship—including getting clear about the relationship you want, becoming the person you hope to attract, dating yourself, creating opportunities to meet someone, and intentionally practicing the kind of love you want to receive.
Because manifesting love isn’t only about finding the right person. It’s about becoming the right person—and learning how to give, receive, and sustain the kind of love you desire.

Hello everyone, and welcome back to The Charmed Life Project. Today we're wrapping up our three-part series on manifesting the big three: health, wealth, and love. In part one, we talked about health, how manifestation isn't just about wanting a different body or better health, but becoming someone who naturally makes choices that support the life they want. Then, in part two, we talked about wealth and how abundance isn't simply about getting more money. It's about changing your beliefs, your relationship with money, and ultimately the person you are becoming. And today we're moving into the third, and maybe the most emotionally loaded of the big three, love. Whether you're trying to manifest a partner, strengthen the relationship you already have, heal from a heartbreak, or simply create healthier and more fulfilling relationships in your life, I think so much of what we're going to talk about today applies. And just like health and wealth, love brings us right back to one of the biggest themes of this entire series: becoming. Because manifestation isn't really about chasing something outside of you. It's about becoming the version of yourself who is aligned with the experience you want to have. But before I go into my thoughts on it, Gina, I wanna turn it over to you.
GinaOh, Kim. Okay, I think love is probably the one area where we all become a little, um, how do you say? Irrational sometimes. Mm-hmm. We can manifest money and say, "Okay, I'm open to abundance," but when it comes to love, suddenly we're like, "Universe, where is he? Where is she?" And then we start looking for signs, right? Like, we look for 11:11, a butterfly, a song, a random text, and we're like, "I know this means something." Maybe it does, or maybe you just saw a butterfly. But today I wanna talk about actually manifesting love, not chasing it, not forcing it, or trying to make a specific person love you. Because you can't manifest someone's free will, but you absolutely can become available for the kind of love you desire. And there are a few things I think are really important when you're doing that. The first one is getting clear on what you want. That's like the first, most simple step. Get clear. And I'm not just talking about hair color, height, career, or whether they have blue eyes. That is not it. I'm talking about, how do you wanna feel? Do you want a relationship that feels safe, passionate, fun, adventurous, peaceful, supportive, emotionally connected? Think about the actual experience you want to have, because you can manifest a person who checks every box on your list and still be completely miserable. So don't just manifest the person, manifest the relationship when I was going through all of this, Kim, I thought back to, I have a journal that my mom had me start when I was in my early 20s, and I found it yesterday in prepping for this podcast, where she used to make me write these lists. And, my mom taught me to write lists for everything, including what I wanted in a person. This list started out with very much, like, I want them to be a dog lover. I want them to be understa- like, I have probably 75 different- Now, this started in a long time ago. So over 20 years ago I started this. But after every relationship, when I learned something that I needed or learned something that I wanted, I added to the list. Something that became important to me was someone that gave back to the world, that was my last one that I wrote down on my list of the things that I wanted in a person, is someone that gave back to the world.
KimAnd Nicholas is someone who has given back to the world in a very substantial way, so that's pretty incredible, your husband.
GinaAbsolutely. He served in the military. He went to Iraq twice. He stops for random people that need help. Like, we went to, the Smoky Mountains, and there was this woman sitting down, and she wasn't elderly or anything, but he just randomly asked her if she was okay, and she was like, "No, I can't walk down this hill." And he was like, "Well, I'll drive you." So we put this perfect stranger in the truck, drived her halfway down this mountain, picked up the rest of her family, drove them down the mountain, and I was just like, "Oh my God, I love this man. He's amazing."
KimI also love the, list-making. Which I'll talk about that today too, but, you know- Oh,
Ginagood
Kimthoughts create things. That's how you actually create, that's how you manifest things into the world. It all starts with a thought, right? Mm-hmm. But we have so many thoughts a day, and so many contradicting thoughts, when you actually write something down, it's like you're actually taking something out of your head and you're putting it into physical form. That's your first step of making it physical in this physical world. So writing things down, it's incredibly powerful for manifestation. It's almost like, yeah, I have all these millions of thoughts that contradict each other, but here, here's what I really want. So that's just such a great practice.
GinaThat's explained so well, and that's the first time that I've heard that in a way that worked for my brain. That's the first step in making it physical, 'cause you're physically writing it down. I love that. Mm-hmm.
KimYep, you're
Ginabringing it into
Kimthe world. Um,
Ginayeah. So the second thing I have is become a match for what you want. Become a match for the love that you want. This is where manifesting gets really interesting. You have to start becoming the version of yourself who is available for that relationship. If you want healthy love, are you creating healthy communication? If you want someone emotionally available, are you emotionally available? If you want someone who chooses you, are you choosing yourself? Because manifestation isn't just about I want this. It's also asking, am I available for this? Your beliefs, your boundaries, your behavior, and your self-worth all play a role, and I teach this all the time about being a match for your energy. If you are in chaos, guess who you are gonna bring into your life? Someone that creates chaos. If you are in transition Then you're gonna attract someone that's also in transition. Now, I have a perfect story for this, this was in September of 2023, I was working Bourbon and Beyond. I was doing readings there, and I was single, but I had sworn off dating for a whole year because I really needed to create boundaries, get my confidence up, focus on work, focus on abundance. My fur baby had just passed away. I was grieving immensely, and I just needed to focus. Well, this person came into my life, and we ended up being great friends. He wanted to date me, but I was very clear on, "Nope, not gonna happen," and the more that he tried, I learned that he was in the same exact spot that I was. He had just gotten out of a relationship. He was in between houses. He had just lost, an animal, like, every single little detail that I was going through energetically, he was going through energetically also. Now, if you put those- two people together, it's, like, a recipe for disaster. Right. Right? Like, just don't do it. So you have to think about where are you energetically, and that's the person that is going to be attracted to you because like attracts like. If you're in a peaceful, sound, amazing place where you're like, "I'm good. I'm happy," then you're gonna get that in return. And then the third one is stop chasing, start receiving. This is a big one. There's a big difference between manifesting love and chasing love. Chasing looks like, "Why haven't they texted? What does this mean? Should I reach out? Are they thinking about me? Did I do something wrong?" And suddenly your entire day revolves around someone else's behavior, which is so gross. I did that in my 20s, bless my heart. Um, manifestation is different. Manifestation says, "I know what I want, I know what I'm worthy of, and I trust that the right relationship can find me." And here's the part that you have to learn. You have to learn how to receive. Some of us are really good at giving love. We show up, we help, we nurture, we do everything for everyone, but when someone tries to love us, we're like, "No, no, no. I'm fine. I got this. You don't have to. I don't need help." But let yourself receive love. You don't have to earn love by over-giving. I was hypervigilant when Nicholas and I first got together to not over-give and let him really run the show in all of that. Mm. So I made sure that I was not chasing it, and I very willingly was open to receiving at that time The fourth thing that I have is don't manifest a person, manifest a feeling. This is one of my favorite shifts. Sometimes we become so attached to one specific person that we forget to ask, is this actually the relationship that I want? You may think you want a particular person, but what you really want might be to feel chosen, to feel safe, to feel desired, to feel supported, to feel understood, to feel excited about your life with someone, and that's what you want to put your energy towards. You can say, "I want this person or someone who feels even better." Right? Because you have no idea what the universe may have for you or that you haven't imagined yet, and sometimes the thing you're desperately trying to manifest isn't actually the thing that's best for you. I say this all the time in my readings when people are asking about a particular person and that they're in a relationship with or they just broke up and they're like, "Are we gonna get back together?" And I'm like, "Well, the energy feels like this, but can I tell you about this other person that I feel is coming in, that they feel really, really amazing?" Nine times out of 10 people are like, "Heck yeah, tell me about this." Okay? And then they forget about old so-and-so that's, like, not choosing them and making them feel unworthy. Okay. Detach from the how and the when. This is probably the hardest part. We wanna know when, where, who, how, how soon, and the manifestation doesn't always work on our timeline. Detachment doesn't mean you stop wanting love. It means you stop gripping it. You stop making your happiness dependent on whether it has happened yet. You say, "I know love is available to me. I don't need to know exactly how it's going to arrive." And that's when desire starts becoming trust. Instead of, "Please let this happen," it's, "I trust that this is possible for me." I did a very specific prayer when I wanted to manifest love, it was very much around the time where I was like, "All right, God. I'm taking a year hiatus, and I'm focusing on me." My prayer also included, "God, my picker is off. Bring me whoever you see fit. I don't want who I want. I want who you want. So universe, God, my picker is off. Whoever you think is best for me, bring them into my life." And then it happened, and it was a lot sooner than I expected. I didn't get to my one-year mark. Last but not least, you have to make room for love. Make room for it physically, emotionally, energetically, but also in your life. If you're constantly saying, "I'm too busy. I don't have time. I don't trust anybody. Relationships are exhausting. I hate online dating. I hate swiping. I'm better off alone," and then you're saying, "Universe, send me my soulmate." We may have a little energetic conflict happening. You don't need to sit around waiting for someone. Live your life, have fun, travel, go to dinner, build your career, spend time with friends. Become obsessed with your own life, but leave the door open for someone to join you because you're not looking for someone to complete your life. You're creating a life that someone amazing can add to. So I know that we've talked about that before, Kim, where it's creating room. Whether you want the house or the health or whatever you're wanting, you create space for it. What are your thoughts on this? I can't wait to dive into what you have to say.
KimYeah, I think creating space is very important when you're looking for someone to come into your life. There's obviously, the physical things that you can do as far as making space in your home for someone. But also making space in your schedule for them as well. If you have your days set and, there's no wiggle room in there to go on dates or to spend time with a significant other, that's something you have to change. If you want somebody to come in, you have to start rearranging your life to make that possible.
GinaThis is also not all about manifesting new love. Mm-hmm. This also plugs in for manifesting love within the love that you already have. So many relationships get stagnant. Marriage, is an ebb and flow, and when you're not flowing, do these steps when you're in a relationship too. Manifest more love, more passion, more connection, keep creating space for your relationship. I can't tell you how many times I hear people just randomly talking about like, "Oh, we haven't gone out on a date in, oh my gosh-" Mm like six months. We don't do that anymore." And I'm, my mouth hangs open and I'm like, "Oh my God. You don't, you don't create space for love in your life." It's wild.
KimDating your spouse is very, important. It's just- Absolutely it's a whole different energy, a whole different frequency when you go out, the two of you, on a date, as opposed to, just being around each other in everyday life. If not, I mean, I know a lot of people do it weekly. I think that's a lot. But at least once a month. Yeah. Like, that's the least you could do, in my opinion.
GinaI'm always seeing pictures of you and Kyle having fun. I feel like you guys are really good at that.
KimYeah. He doesn't let me rest. I feel like we overlap a little bit, which is great. We always have similar perspectives. So hopefully the different ways that we talk about this will really hit for everyone. And then I do have a few,, different things to add as well. But I think love is both one of the easiest things to manifest and one of the hardest. Not because love itself is hard, but because love asks us to become someone who can hold that frequency, and that's the theme we've been coming back to throughout this series. Health, wealth, and love all ask the same question: Who am I becoming? Because love isn't just something you find or you get, it's something you practice, and that applies whether you're looking for a partner, working on your marriage, or just creating healthier relationships in general. So a lot of what I'm gonna talk about today comes from the book The Mastery of Love by Don Miguel Ruiz. He also wrote The Four Agreements. Um, that's a title you probably recognize. It's, like, his uber famous book. But The Mastery of Love is also a really good one. It's a short, quick read, but it's one of those books that changes your entire perspective. I read it several years ago, and it still influences how I show up in my relationship today. And if I had to summarize that book in one idea, it would be this: mastering love means mastering your relationship with yourself. When you work to heal your fears, wounds, expectations, and self-rejection, that's a big one, the way you show up changes, the way you love changes, and eventually the kind of love you attract and accept changes, too. So I wanna start with expectations because having standards is important, right? You should know what you want in a partner. You should know what your desires and your non-negotiables are, absolutely. But the problem is when we create this detailed idea of who someone should be and then try to force a real person into that mold, it's obviously going to be disastrous. Maybe there's chemistry, maybe they have some of the qualities you want, and then you start filling in the blanks. You fall in love with who you think they are or who you believe they could become, and of course, feel disappointed when reality doesn't match the person that you've imagined. When this happens, we often end up mourning the loss of a fictional character created entirely in our minds rather than the actual person. And when you think about it like that, it's pretty crazy. So people do this over and over again, but underneath all of this pseudo love and heartbreak is really just fear and control. We're trying desperately to control the situation and the other person, how that person behaves, how they make us feel, who they become. But fear and control are the opposite of love and acceptance. Healthy love includes acceptance, respect, freedom, kindness, and generosity without constantly measuring or keeping score. It says, "You are who you are, and I love you for who you are Fear-based love is conditional. I'll love you if you reassure me, if you agree with me, if you behave the way I want you to. You can't control another person's thoughts, feelings, choices, or behavior. You can only take responsibility for your own. And we all know that loving someone means allowing them to be a complete autonomous person while choosing to share your life with them. So what does that look like, putting the focus back on yourself rather than the other person? First, be yourself, fully, authentically yourself from the moment you meet someone. When you only show someone the version of yourself you think they'll like, you're trying to control the outcome. You're trying to control them from the start. You're essentially saying, "If I behave exactly the right way, maybe I can make this person love me." But you never need someone else's approval to prove your worth. You're worthy and lovable because you are, and the right person, who is going to love you for you, is going to be able to find you so much easier if you don't put on a mask when first meeting people. And this brings me to your self-talk. Your relationship with yourself is the foundation for every other relationship. If your inner voice is constantly criticizing or rejecting you, that is what you are going to attract from others. So practice loving yourself for who you are and being open, honest, and fully yourself from the beginning. Second, learn to be happy and complete on your own. A healthy relationship is two whole people choosing to share their lives, not two people expecting the other to fill every empty space. So instead of, "I need you to make me whole," healthy love says, "I'm already whole, and I choose to share my life with you." Have your own interests, dreams, friendships, and goals. Your partner is not responsible for your happiness, and you are not responsible for theirs. The moment we make someone else responsible for how we feel, we give them an enormous amount of emotional power over us, which is extremely unhealthy. And third, heal yourself. A lot of relationship conflict isn't really about the present moment. It's an old wound being reactivated by something happening now. Past rejections, criticism, conditional affection, betrayal, or abandonment can affect how we interpret our partner's behavior. Sometimes a small situation creates a huge reaction because it touches a past hurt within us. When that happens, it helps to ask, "What is actually happening right now, and what am I bringing into this from somewhere else or from an earlier time in this relationship?" Because this is true when you're in a relationship with someone too who's hurt you in the past. Everyone is going to hurt you at some point. So when you're with someone for years, there's going to be past hurts. Letting those old arguments replay over and over again every time you're triggered will ruin your relationship. We all make mistakes. Sometimes we make serious ones. Most of us want grace and understanding when we're the person who gets it wrong, so we have to be willing to offer that same grace to someone else. Love gets easier when we stop keeping score and start allowing room for honesty, accountability, repair, and forgiveness. Okay, I want to leave you with three practical things you can do today to move you closer to the kind of love that you want to experience. First, get clear about what you want, just like Gina said. Take out a piece of paper and write down what you actually want in a partner, and you can do this even if you're not single. You can do this with your current partner in mind. Think about what you want from them and What you want in your relationship with them. So what do you actually want? Not what looks good on Instagram, not what a movie tells you to want, not what sounds impressive to your friends. What qualities actually matter to you? What kind of life do you want to build together? How do you wanna handle conflict? How do you wanna feel in the relationship? The clearer you are, the easier it becomes to recognize what fits. Then, and this is the part that's the game changer, because most people stop at the list of what they want in someone else. Turn the list around and ask, "Am I the kind of person I'm hoping to attract?" Or at least, am I committed to becoming that person? If you want someone who prioritizes their health, are you caring for your own? If you want someone patient, are you practicing patience? If you want someone ambitious, are you investing in your own dreams? If you want someone financially responsible, are you developing a healthy relationship with money? This is where health, wealth, and love connect. They're all about the person you're becoming. And again, make sure you're being honest about the life you actually want. An example that kind of makes me laugh is maybe you think that you want some rugged outdoorsy guy because that sounds attractive to you, but meanwhile, you hate camping and bugs and hiking. Do you really want that person, or do you want the idea of that person? Maybe your ideal partner actually loves reading or going to coffee shops, maybe cooking or quiet nights at home. This isn't about creating a perfect partner. It's about getting clear on the person and the life that are actually right for you. Second, get out into the world. So if you are single, the second thing is to sit down and make a list of everywhere you could go where you could potentially meet a partner, and then get out and go do it. This isn't about desperately searching every room for your future spouse. It's about expanding your sense of possibility, just like we did when we made a list of all the ways extra money could come into our lives. If you're constantly sitting around thinking, "There aren't any good people in this town," or, "I'm never going to meet anyone," your brain starts treating those thoughts as fact. Instead, look for evidence that opportunities are everywhere. Go to the coffee shop. Join a gym. Take a class. Volunteer. Travel. Attend events. Say yes when friends invite you somewhere, and add that place to your list. The goal is to become someone who believes, "I could meet my person anywhere." That belief changes how you move through the world. You make more eye contact. You smile more. You start conversations. You accept invitations. You notice opportunities you may have overlooked before And finally, third, date yourself. Date yourself to become the person you want to be with. Start treating yourself the way you want your dream partner to treat you. Speak to yourself with kindness. Encourage yourself. Give yourself rest, attention, and compassion. If your dream partner would tell you that you're beautiful, practice telling yourself that you're beautiful. If they would remind you to stop being so hard on yourself, listen. If they would bring you your favorite coffee or take you to a restaurant you've been wanting to try, do those things for yourself. But this also applies once you're in a relationship. Don't just wait for your partner to give you the kind of love you want. Become the person who gives it, too. If you want your partner to randomly kiss you every day, start giving your partner random kisses if you want thoughtful texts, send thoughtful texts. If you want affection, initiate affection. If you want encouragement, become encouraging. If you want someone who celebrates you, celebrate them. Sometimes we focus so much on finding the person who will love us the way we want to be loved that we forget to ask whether we're offering that same love in return. What you put out there will come back to you tenfold. You also become less willing to accept people who consistently treat you poorly. Your standards rise, not because you think you're better than anyone else, but because you've learned what love should feel like. Because manifesting love isn't only about finding the right person. It's about becoming the right person and practicing the kind of love you want to experience
GinaI couldn't agree more. When I think back to different versions of myself, I lacked so much confidence in myself, and I didn't have boundaries, and I accepted behaviors that didn't make me feel good. And once I really focused on building my self-worth and my confidence, I started feeling better. I started, you know, taking less crap from people. And then ultimately, I attracted, the person that was meant for me, that was my energetic match. It was beautiful. It was a beautiful process. Yeah. Took me a while to get there and to understand it, but once I did learn that the love that I get is the love that I'm willing to receive, and it's a reflection of how I feel inside, once I learned that, it really, really clicked for me.
KimYeah. There's two conversations in my mind that stand out with my husband, Kyle. Early on when we were dating, um, he taught me how to love, I'll be honest. Like I just- Yeah I had had such bad experiences previously I got into a relationship with him very quickly after a breakup that wasn't good. I just didn't trust him. There was he just wasn't my person, you know? Mm-hmm. So obviously he didn't treat me how I wanted to be treated. But there were two conversations that Kyle and I had early on where first he said, um I, I think I w- had gotten upset about something, and I was talking to him in a particular kind of way. And he just said, "No, you are not going to talk to me like that. Like, I don't deserve that, so you're not gonna do that again." And I remember it, halted me in my tracks, and I was like, wow, you're right. Why am I speaking to you this way? And it's because that's what I was used to, and I was creating the same experience again. Mm-hmm. And so yeah, when you're talking about boundaries, that was him setting an immediate boundary of that's not gonna happen here. And I listened. You know, when somebody's clear about their boundaries and they mean it, people listen.
GinaYeah.
KimThe other time was, he said to me, "Kim, if you keep looking for something, you are going to find it. Like, you're eventually going to find it." Boom. And I was. You know, I had been in this almost, like, detective role for years of, trying to figure out what was going on because things were going on behind my back. And, and I was again recreating that experience with him when I didn't need to be. And,, now I know he was right about that. Like, scientifically, that's one of the functions of the brain is to find proof for whatever you believe to be true. But even before I knew that, it resonated with me so deeply because it was like, you're right. I'm going to create a situation. If I'm constantly looking for something, I'm gonna find something that doesn't sit with me right. I'm gonna blow it up. I'm gonna make it into something bigger. You know, and I'm ultimately, that's gonna be the demise of us. And it, again, just resonated with me because I just thought, wow, you are not that person, and I'm trying to make you into that person because, uh, y- the neural pathways were so strong, right? Like, that's what I was expecting. That's what I was experiencing. So yeah, that just brought that up in me when you were just talking about boundaries.
GinaThat's so vulnerable. Thank you for sharing that. I've had similar experiences to that as well, and I think it just goes to your point of none of us are perfect. Yeah. And in a relationship, we need to help each other and understand each other and, and not work against each other. And I love what you said about being a detective. Because, because I have been a detective also. Mm-hmm. And here's the thing, us as intuitive people, like obviously I'm super intuitive, and you know what I think about you. Like, you're just a natural medium as well, and you're so- Mm-hmm highly intuitive, where you know things to be true. You feel them. Mm-hmm. And yet when someone tells you that, "Oh, that's not true," you're like, "But my inner guidance system is telling me that it's true." So you have- Right to seek out the proof. So being in relationships with people that are untruthful can really alter your intuition and can really alter your inner, uh, knowing, your inner guidance system. And then being with someone that's amazing and healthy, you have to relearn that inner guidance system and stop looking for the proof. Start feeling safe so that you can get back to your natural way of being. Get out of that fight or flight. So-
KimAnd it, and it can take time. I'm not gonna lie. Mm-hmm. It wasn't immediately I ha- you know, that after those conversations I was healed. You know? It still took some time, you know. He had to have patience with me. And so again, you know, have patience with people because you, they do, people do have experiences from their past that play into who they are today. Yeah. And sometimes they have to take some time to unlearn those- Yeah experiences and th- that way of being.
GinaAbsolutely. I think my biggest takeaway from this conversation is constantly work on yourself and be the partner that you wanna be. Mm-hmm. Like, then from listening, um, to everything, I think that's my biggest takeaway. And, and really infusing that into our relationships. So the biggest love manifestation shift, don't manifest from desperation, you guys. Manifest from knowing. Don't say, "I need someone to love me." Say, "I know I am lovable." Don't say, "I need someone to choose me." Say, "I choose myself, and I'm available for someone who chooses me too." Don't say, "When is this gonna happen?" Say, "I'm trusting the timing." And don't obsess over the person. Focus on the feeling, the relationship, and the version of you who gets to experience it Here's your love manifestation mantra, and let's end with a little manifestation energy, shall we? Take a breath, put your hands over your heart and say, "I am worthy of extraordinary love. I am open to receiving love. I trust myself to recognize healthy love. I release the need to control who, when, and how. I trust that love is available to me. I'm becoming the version of myself who can give, receive, and sustain the love I desire. I choose love that chooses me." And remember, you don't have to chase what is aligned with you. You don't have to convince someone to love you. You don't have to force the timing. Your job is to get clear, become available, raise your standards, open your heart, and live your life. Let the universe handle the details.
