Hello, everyone, and welcome back to The Charmed Life Project. We are officially stepping into September, and I have to tell you, September feels different. August had a very, I don't know, like, figure-it-out, make-a-decision, get-moving kind of energy. But September, September feels like the universe is saying, "Okay, now that you know what you want, are you actually willing to live like the person who has it?" And that really is the energy I feel for this month, along with, mm, everything's gonna be revealed. Like, it feels like... It does feel like refinement, receiving, realignment, but mamas and papas, brothers and sisters, September's gonna be revealing. A lot is going to be revealed. I can't say that enough. It's not a bad omen, but I want you to take the perspective of I'm just gonna observe everything that is happening. I'm not gonna let all of this go into my heart. So be the observer. Watch all of the truths be revealed around you, and don't get too attached to what is happening. You might feel like you're at the eye of the storm, and everything is swirling all around you. But also, just like The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy's whole story is going through this journey, right? She's in this tornado. She goes through this whole journey. She meets all of her different spirit guides, and it all leads her back to home. So that all being said, know that whatever happens in September, it is all gonna lead you back home to your spirit, to your soul, and it is all for the greater good September is not necessarily about blowing up your entire life. It's not about quitting everything, moving across the country, breaking up with everyone you know, and announcing on Instagram that you're entering your new era. Although if that's your truth, I support you, obviously. Burn it all down, but do it responsibly. September feels much more subtle than that, I guess. It feels like refinement. It feels like you're looking at your life saying, "What actually belongs here? What doesn't? What am I still doing because it's familiar? What am I doing because I genuinely want it?" And probably the biggest question of the month: where am I still forcing something that is asking me to receive instead? Because September has a receiving quality to it, which I, absolutely love. Receive, receive, receive. But receiving requires space, and sometimes we say we want more money, more love, more opportunity, more peace, more health, more abundance, but our life is so packed with old obligations, old identities, old relationships, old fears, and old stories that there is literally nowhere for the new thing to land. The landing pad is full of expired subscriptions, emotionally unavailable people, and commitments you agreed to while temporarily possessed. September is a month of clearing the landing pad, and I want you to think about this entire month as refine, align, receive, reveal. And more accurately, notice the nonsense. Stop volunteering for it. Make room for better The overall energy of September. The first thing I want you to know is that September may feel like a month of clarity after a little movement, and that's what I mean by revealing. There's going to be clarity in every area of your life. Maybe not every area, maybe a few highlighted areas, but it's going to be revealed for clarity. You're gonna see things from a different perspective. It's gonna be pretty mind-blowing. You may suddenly realize, "Oh, I don't actually want that anymore. No, I do not," and that is okay. You may realize that a goal you were chasing six months ago doesn't excite you anymore, and that's okay. You may realize that a relationship dynamic that you have totally tolerated for years suddenly feels unacceptable. I'm gonna say that that one is the biggest one for this month. You will realize that a relationship dynamic that you've tolerated for way too long is something that you can no longer accept, and that's okay. You may realize that the career you've built doesn't fit the person you've becoming or even the person that you are right now, and that's okay, too. September is asking us to stop confusing familiarity with alignment. It's just not. Just because something has always been there doesn't mean it's supposed to stay, and just because something feels uncomfortable doesn't mean it's wrong. Sometimes discomfort is simply the sensation of outgrowing your old life. Sometimes it's also the sensation of finally admitting that you've been pretending something is fine because dealing with it sounded exhausting. Both can be true. This month I want you to pay very close attention to what feels lighter. Not necessarily easier, lighter. There's a difference. Something can be challenging and still feel incredibly aligned, and something can be easy and familiar and quietly draining you like a phone charger from 2012. So your body is going to be giving you a lot of information this month. Pay attention. Your body is constantly talking to you, and maybe for once, don't immediately explain it away. Let's talk about career. This is gonna this is a hefty one. September feels like a career recalibration month. Um, I don't necessarily mean everyone is going to quit their job. Actually, for many people, I think September is going to reveal what needs to be adjusted before a major career move happens. You may be asking, "Do I really want this position? Do I want more responsibility? Do I want less responsibility? Do I wanna work for myself? Do I want to be seen more? Do I actually want the promotion? Am I undercharging? Am I over-working? Am I constantly trying to prove myself?" And the last question is a big one, because September feels like a month where people become much less willing to prove their worth. You may realize, "I don't need to convince everyone I'm good enough." You may start letting your work speak for itself. You may stop volunteering for everything. You may finally have a conversation about compensation. You may ask for the position. You may launch something new. You may return to an idea that you abandoned, or you may realize that your next level requires you to become more visible. And yes, visibility is uncomfortable. So is staying underpaid and overlooked while pretending you're just being humble. Let's say you've been working in the same position for three years. You've been doing more and more, but your title and compensation haven't changed. September may bring a moment where you say, "Enough. It's time to have the conversation." I'm just gonna say it, September feels like you're in F it mode. It is like you're in F it mode. You lose your filter in the most wonderful way. It's not that you're mean, it's not that you're unkind, but you lose your filter. You give up your F's, and you're like, "You know what? I am standing up for myself," and it feels really good. Doesn't mean necessarily confrontation, right? It means clarity. It means walking into the meeting with facts instead of a nervous apology and a personality built around being easy to exploit. Another example, maybe you've been thinking about starting a business, and you keep saying, "I'm going to do it when I have more time." Well, start creating the structure now. Not necessarily quit your job tomorrow, but create the website. Make the offer. Tell people. Open the account. Take the class. Do the thing. September is very much about turning an idea into something tangible because at some point, "I'm thinking about it," doesn't become a lifestyle, and not particularly a profitable one. I want this to be your mantra: "I don't chase recognition. I become undeniable through alignment, competence, and refusing to do unpaid emotional labor." Boom. That feels, like, so powerful Let's talk about money next 'cause you know we're gonna go there, and this is gonna be an interesting one. And I really like the energy around finances in September because it feels like a month of reorganizing your relationship with receiving. This isn't necessarily money falls from the sky energy. It's more where have you been blocking the flow? That can happen in some very sneaky ways. You can say, "I want more money," but then you're afraid to charge more. You want more money, but you're afraid to invest in yourself. You want more money, but you feel guilty when you receive. You want abundance, but you constantly say, "I can't afford that. I never have enough. Money is hard. Everything is so expensive." Everything is so expensive right now. No, I'm not saying you should ignore reality. Please please pay your bills. The universe is not accepting, "But I manifested it," as a payment method. But September is asking you to notice the emotional story you have attached to money because money is not just numbers. For many people, money represents safety, worth, freedom, power, choice, and sometimes receiving more money forces us to confront what we actually believe we deserve, which is inconvenient because it means we can't blame everything on the economy, our parents, Mercury in retrograde, an eclipse, or that one person who didn't support our business in 2017 Someone offers you $5,000 for something, and you've always charged $1,500 for it. Your first thought might be, "They're never gonna pay that." September says, "Don't reject the abundance before the other person even has the opportunity to choose." Let people say yes. Let people surprise you. Let opportunities be bigger than your previous expectations. And financially, September is also excellent for getting organized. Look at subscriptions, debt, savings, investments, pricing, spending, your business expenses, reoccurring expenses, and ask, "Is my money supporting the life I say I want?" Because that's the real question. Maybe you're spending $400 a month on things that don't really actually matter to you while telling yourself you can't afford the trip, the course, business investment, or experience you really want. Redirect. Don't necessarily spend less, spend more intentionally. If you discover that you're paying for six streaming services, three forgotten apps, and a gym membership that you haven't visited since the last presidential administration, congratulations. You found your first abundance leak. Find all of your abundance leaks. I want you to have this mantra for your money game: I am safe to receive, safe to keep, and safe to grow my money without apologizing for having it Are you ready to dive into love? 'Cause you know I am. Love is my favorite topic to dive into. It really, really is. Love and relationships, they're so tricky. It's very interesting. September feels even more interesting than the other months because this is not just about romantic love, this is about receiving love. So we have a theme here, receiving. Receiving and revealing. For those who are single, September may bring an interesting shift. You may become less interested in chemistry that creates chaos. Amen. You may start thinking, "I actually want someone who feels peaceful." And that can feel strange if you're used to confusing intensity with connection. Can you feel safe and still be exciting? Yes, absolutely. It can also feel suspicious at first because your nervous system may have mistaken anxiety for a soulmate connection. For people in relationships, September feels like a month of deeper conversations. Not necessarily dramatic conversations, real ones. Real conversations. What do we want? Where are we going? What are we building? What do we need from each other? What needs to change? And I think many relationships will benefit from simply being more honest and intentional with the conversation. Not performatively. Honestly. Not, "I'm fine," followed by three-hour internal courtroom drama. Actually honest. Maybe one person in the relationship has been quietly resentful because they feel like they're carrying everything. Stop expecting the other person to read your mind. Have the conversation. Maybe you've been afraid to tell your partner what you really want because you're worried they'll say no. Let them answer. You don't have to reject yourself on their behalf. It's a big theme this month. Stop saying no to yourself before anyone else has the opportunity to say yes. And if they do say no, at least you'll have real information instead of building an entire emotional relationship with an imaginary rejection. I do wanna get into friendships and relationships. Now friendships. Let's go there. September is gonna be very interesting month socially. I'll just say that. You're gonna be realizing what is reciprocated to you. Who checks on you? Who celebrates you? Who only calls when they need something? Who makes you feel like yourself? Who makes you feel like you're constantly auditioning? And here's the important part: you don't have to villainize people to outgrow them. Like, not at all. Sometimes relationships simply change. Sometimes people were perfect for one chapter, and then the chapter ends. That doesn't mean anyone is bad, not at all. It means you're moving. It also means you're allowed to stop dragging a dead friendship behind you like emotional luggage because you once had fun together in 2019. Maybe you've always been the person who plans everything. You're always the person that reaches out, the dinner, the birthday, the trip, the group chat, the emotional support, and suddenly you stop. You don't announce it, of course. You don't create drama. You just stop over-functioning, and you watch. Who steps forward? That's information. September is about allowing people to meet you where you are, rather than constantly shrinking yourself to maintain the relationship. And if the relationship collapses the second you stop doing all the work, then congratulations. You were not in a friendship. You were running a small nonprofit. My heart goes out to you so, so much. I choose relationships that feel mutual, honest, supportive, and free, and I stop confusing access with intimacy. That's your relationship mantra Diving into health and wellness. Okay? I wanna frame this energetically rather than making health predictions. September feels like a month of coming back into your body. The summer can be chaotic. The summer can be a little chaotic with travel, late nights, different schedules, more socializing, more activity. September naturally brings a rhythm back, and your body may start asking for consistency. Sleep, hydration, movement, nourishment, rest, quiet. My body always asks for that. Your body may basically say, "Can we please have a routine?" And listen, your body is not a machine that you yell at until it performs. It's something you live inside, and it's an opportunity to ask, "What would make my body feel supported?" Not, "How can I punish my body into changing?" It's a very different energy. Also, if your wellness plan requires you to hate yourself every morning, it's not wellness. It's just a beautifully branded hostage situation. Instead of, "I need to lose weight," try this: "I wanna feel strong, energized, nourished, and comfortable in my body." Instead of, "I have to exercise," try this: "I want movement that actually feels good to me." Instead of, "I need to do everything," try, "What can I simplify?" September health energy is about consistency over extremes. Small habits repeated often and where the power is. And emotionally, your nervous system may benefit from fewer inputs, less scrolling, less noise, less constantly consuming everyone else's opinions. More silence, more nature, more breathing, more present, and perhaps fewer conversations with people who make you need a recovery day afterward. So your mantra for health is very simple: "My body deserves partnership, not punishment, and I'm done treating exhaustion like a personality." And then we move on to travel. It feels like travel with a purpose, not necessarily running away, more like going somewhere that changes your perspective. This could be a literal trip, a spontaneous weekend, a visit to someone you've missed, a retreat, a spiritual destination, or traveling somewhere you've been before but experiencing it completely differently. You may take a trip because you need to make a decision. You leave feeling confused, you come home knowing exactly what you're doing. That's the energy. Travel can create distance from your normal environment, and that distance can give you perspective. It can also reveal that the problem was not your city, your job, your apartment, your house, your haircut. Sometimes you just needed sleep and a boundary. If you're planning travel this month, don't overpack your schedule. Leave space. Some of the most important moments may happen when you're not doing anything at all. A coffee, a walk, a conversation, a sunset, a random interaction. Let the trip breathe. And if you aren't traveling, you can still create this energy. Go somewhere where you've never been. Take a different route. Visit a museum. Drive somewhere new. Explore your own city. Your soul doesn't necessarily need a passport to experience something new. It may just need you to stop going to the same three places and calling it a personality Now your travel mantra is this: I allow new places, people, and experiences to expand my perspective, and I leave room for plans to go gloriously off script. Now let's get into your spiritual path, 'cause I know that this is your all's favorite part. The spiritual energy of September. This feels like a month of deepening rather than searching. Hallelujah. You may notice that you don't need as many answers. You need more trust, and that's a huge difference. There is a point of spiritual growth where you stop asking what's going to happen and start asking, "What do I want to show up regardless of what happens?" That's September. Your intuition may feel quieter. Don't mistake quiet for absence. Sometimes intuition isn't a giant lightning bolt. Sometimes it's, "Don't go. Call her. Wait. Apply. Leave. Say yes. Say no. Time to go to bed." It's simple. It's quiet, and it doesn't usually scream. Fear screams. Remember that. Intuition often whispers, and sometimes intuition whispers the same thing 12 times while you keep asking for a more convenient answer. It's an excellent month for creating space to hear that whisper. You may have two opportunities. One looks amazing on paper. The other is less impressive, but gives you a feeling of expansion.. Instead of immediately choosing based on status, money, or what other people think, pause and ask, "Which choice makes me feel more like myself?" That's the question. Your spiritual path this month is about embodied intuition, not just knowing, doing. Not just receiving the message, but following it. Because a vision board is not a substitute for making the phone call. This is your spiritual mantra. I trust the wisdom within me, and I allow it to lead me even when it ruins my carefully curated the biggest lesson of September, September is about becoming unavailable for what requires you to abandon yourself. Becoming unavailable for what requires you to abandon yourself. That could be a relationship, a job, a financial pattern, an old identity, a habit, a friendship, a belief, a fear, a version of success that isn't actually yours. What if your next level doesn't require more effort? What if it requires less resistance? What if you stop pushing, stop convincing, stop chasing, stop over-explaining? What if you stop trying to make something happen that isn't actually aligned? What if you create enough space for something better to find you? That's the receiving energy. Also, what if you stop treating every closed door like a personal insult? Some doors are closed because the room is full of nonsense. We don't wanna go in there. Some doors are closed because you are not supposed to go in there, period. Some doors are closed because the universe has finally gotten tired of watching you walk into the same mess wearing a new outfit. It's protection I want you to think about this September's mantra, and I want this to be the mantra for the entire month: I release what no longer fits, I trust what is unfolding, and I make space to receive what is meant for me. You can say this every morning. You can put it on your phone, write it in your journal. You can say it when you're anxious. You can say it when you're making a decision, and especially say it when something leaves, because sometimes something leaving your life isn't the universe taking something away. Sometimes it's the universe making room, and sometimes it's the universe removing something you kept insisting was probably fine despite all the available evidence Here are some journaling prompts. Grab your journal and let's go through September's questions. Journaling prompts for career: What part of my career currently feels expansive? What part feels draining? Where am I underestimating myself? What opportunity would I pursue if I knew I couldn't fail? Where am I waiting for permission? What would success look like if I defined it for myself? Money. What is my current emotional relationship with money? Where do I feel safe receiving? Where do I feel guilty receiving? How can I become a better steward of the money I already have? What money story am I ready to retire? Love. What kind of love feels safe to me? What kind of love feels exciting to me? Have I ever confused chaos with chemistry? Where can I be more vulnerable, and what do I need to receive instead of consistently giving? Relationships. Which relationships feel reciprocal? Where am I over-functioning? Who makes me feel more like myself? Where do I need stronger boundaries? What relationship am I ready to release, redefine, or deepen Health. What does my body need from me right now? Am I fighting my body instead of supporting it? What does rest look like for me? What simple habit would make me feel better? Travel and adventure. Where am I craving change of scenery? Where could I be more spontaneous? What experience would expand me? How can I bring adventure into my life without leaving home? Spiritual path. What is my intuition trying to tell me? What am I asking the universe for that I haven't made space to receive? Where am I forcing? Where am I being invited to trust? What old version of me am I ready to release, and who am I becoming And here's the final journal question. Put your pen down, take a breath, and ask yourself, "If I trusted myself completely, what would I do next?" Don't overthink it. Write the first thing, and then ideally do something about it instead of turning the answer into another inspirational note you've never revisited Okay, let's meditate together. Big breath and let it go. Making space to receive We're gonna close this episode with a making space to receive meditation. If you're driving, don't close your eyes, unless you're trying to receive a very immediate lesson about consequences. But if you're somewhere safe and comfortable, get settled. Sit back. Let your hands rest comfortably, and take a slow, deep breath in And exhale. Again, inhale And exhale. Last time. Deepest breath of the day. Inhale And let it go Now bring your awareness to your body. Notice your shoulders. Let them soften Notice your jaw, unclench it Notice your forehead. Let it relax. Take another breath. Inhale Exhale Imagine that you're standing in a doorway, the doorway of your life, and behind you is everything you've already lived. Every experience, every relationship, every mistake, every success, every version of you that got you here. I want you to say silently, "Thank you." Thank the old versions of yourself, even the ones you don't particularly like. They got you here. They survived things. They learned things. They protected you. They helped you become who you are And yes, some of them made questionable choices. We're not going to pretend otherwise. But they were doing the best that they could with the information, coping mechanisms, and questionable romantic decisions that they had at the time. And now imagine yourself turning towards the door in front of you. This doorway represents September. You don't know exactly what's on the other side, and that's okay. You don't need to. Take a deep breath and imagine placing one hand over your heart and say, "I am willing to trust what I cannot see yet." Now imagine there are things you're carrying that you do not want to take with you through the doorway They may be old fears, old expectations, old stories, old relationships, old versions of your success, old versions of yourself. Imagine placing them down one by one. You don't have to know exactly what happens next. You're simply saying, "I don't need to carry this anymore." Still focusing on your breath. And if you notice yourself trying to pick it all back up because it feels familiar, lovingly put it back down You're not required to keep carrying something because you've gotten good at it. And now imagine your hands becoming completely empty. Notice how it feels. Empty hands, open hands, ready hands. Not clenched fists full of resentment, receipts, and conversations you should have had three years ago. Open hands. And imagine a warm, beautiful light beginning to surround you. This light represents possibility, opportunity, love, abundance, peace, healing, connection, and joy. And instead of reaching for it, simply allow it to come towards you. You don't have to chase it. You don't have to prove you're worthy of it. You don't have to convince it to stay. Simply receive, take a breath, and say, "I am safe to receive." Say it again. I am safe to receive And one more time, I am safe to receive what is aligned for me Now imagine that light moving through your entire body into your head, your throat, your heart, your stomach, your hips, your legs, your feet, and imagine yourself becoming grounded, present, here, now. Not in the imaginary argument you were having in the shower, not in the future disasters you've already emotionally rehearsed, but here, now, and ask yourself silently, "What am I ready for?" Don't force an answer. Just listen. Maybe a word comes, maybe a person, a place, an idea, maybe nothing, and that's okay. Now ask, "What am I ready to release?" And again, just listen And finally, what would my life look like if I trusted myself? Take a deep breath. And as you exhale, imagine stepping through that doorway into September, into a new chapter. Not because you're becoming someone else, but because you're becoming more yourself. Take one final deep breath in And exhale slowly And when you're ready, open your eyes. Welcome to September. Your job this month isn't to force the new chapter, it's to make space for it. Refine, realign, receive, and reveal Remember, you don't have to chase what is truly aligned for you. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is to get quiet enough to recognize it when it arrives. And sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is say, "Actually, no," and leave before the situation requires a dramatic exit, a group chat announcement, and a new therapist. I'll see you next time for another episode of The Charmed Life Project.
